The Transplant Association

The Transplant Association is a new Charity based in Bristol and set up with some clear objectives aiming to improve patient care in the UK.

With first hand experience, we are planning our new user friendly information website and directory.

Who we're working with

We are working closely with UK Transplant Centres and NHSBT.

Our first pilot scheme is due to commence shortly at the Institute of Transplant, Freeman Hospital, Newcastle.

Support projects

Psychological and Emotional support and the ability for anyone to access help is paramount during Transplant.

With this in mind, Transplant Association will be supporting and funding a new educational programme to up skill Transplant Nurses and Co-ordinators in recognised Counselling qualifications.

What can I do?

Donor awareness is key.

There is a need for more people to understand the importance of signing the National Donor Register.

You can sign up to the National Donor Register simply and easily.

Forthcoming events

TeamMash Bristol to Newcastle Ride

TeamMash Bristol to Newcastle ride
17-20 July 2015

The ride is in loving memory of Kevin Mashford’s donor John and Jonathan Osborne who sadly lost his battle following his lung transplant.

It will be a tough but great fun four days and 342 miles!

This is a great chance to encourage people to become organ donors and raise money for our new charity The Transplant Association.

Follow our progress at and spread the word!
